it was great to be back witht he kids again today. Today i took G on a walk, and i bought her a cookie from a market, and she held onto it and did not take a single bite, and i did not get it.. She walked the whole way backto the orphanage, carrying this dang cookie, and even when i was changing her back to her regular clothes she would not let it go or eat it. I took her back to her room with theother kids to pick up my next kid, and watched her break the cookie up, and hand it out to the other kids in the orphanage. She took a bite and gace the rest of it away. It was seriously amazing. I guess in these conditions these babies learn to share. I loved witnessing that.
E-man, my happy one, was sick today. Pray he gets better soon.
Tomorrow 2 of the volunteers are leaving. Riley and Danielle. I am super bumbed about it. Me and Riley took our kids on a walk today and it was good time with her. I wish they did not have to leave but I am excited for the new ones to come!
Kim comes in1 week!!!!!! I AM SO SO SO EXCITED!!
oh so little scare last night- this is a little personal, but out toliet at our house we have to manually flush by taking a bucket of water and dumping it into the toilet making it flush, and you can only flush if its poo, not pee, so anyways i went to the bathroom and i dumped the water in it and it just filled up the toilet and didnot flush. So i did it again (which was dumb) and it just filled up more.. anyways lets just say i am a pro at toilets now but i finally got it to go down. I really REALLY miss a flushing toilet.
Keep praying for these kids. I love yall and thank yall for the prayers, i would not be able to make it here with out yall.
BEcca
ps- my hands are cracking i sanitize them so much.. and i stepped in baby poop this morning.. LOVE IT!! :)

Dear Boo: You said Gigi was mature for her age. What a sweet heart she has she knew exactly what she was doing. She was going to take care of the cookie until she was with her friends so they could all enjoy it together. We just take cookies out of the cookie jar and eat it without thinking of anyone else. I wish we were all more like Gigi.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry Edson is so sick. I am sure the babies are sick alot since they put three to each crib when one gets sick the others get it. That is the way it used to be - Betty, Bev and I shared a room with a full size bed. LOL
The hour you held and loved on Edson probably healed him. I bet he will be happy again in the morning. I will pray for Edson tonight. Love is the best medicine for any ailment.
Now you are a plumber - way to go Boo. LOL We do take our modern conveniences for granted.
It finally cooled down infact we were twenty degrees cooler today than yesterday. It has been one hot summer.
Aunt Jennifer, Hunter, Chili, Weston and Faith return from Florida tomorrow. We sure have missed them.
I am keeping you and your babies in my daily prayers and I have all of you on the church prayer list so they pray for you guys every hour 24/7!!! God's love is extreme he pursues everyone.
Becca I know I tell you over and over but I am so proud of you and love and miss you much, Pana
Matthew 18:10
"See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven."
(Our concern for children must match God's treatment of them. Certain angels are assigned to watch over children and they have direct access to God (I think the angels are you girls taking care of the babies). These words ring out sharply in cultures where children are taken lightly, ignored, or aborted.
Sleep tight my Big Angel
Hi sweetie,
ReplyDeleteI am so loving your posts. It makes it feel like I am there… and it makes it so easy to pray specifically for all the needs. I love Ro’s note. I agree that we must look after the little ones. And you are an amazing example of that.
Stand firm,
aunt k
