Ok so let me just try and explain what happened last night.. After i took my "army style" shower, and i chilling in the TV room with some girls, and i hear Jamie, a volunteer here (shes awesome) saying "OH MY GOSH COME LOOK AT THIS!!!" She was being sooo dramatic, but would not stop, so we all walked into the room, and there was a freaking spider the size of a CD. Literally is was huge. Like if it were a tarantula it would have been BETTER. It was the biggest spiderI have ever seen. And the best past was, it was not only in our house, it was in the room we are sleeping in and about 6 inches from my bed. Yes i had a great time trying to sleep last night...
ANYWAYS, we got a good laugh out of it.
Also last night me, Jamie and Riley decided to get a little work out in, and we were jump roping and doing lunges, and the older girls at the orphanage (the oldest is 14) thought it was SO funny, and came down and started running and doing lunges with us. It was sooo funny. They were all in their pj's and looked so so cute, but i kinda think they were making fun of us...

This morning we had prayer time with eachother. It was really good, and we went to a house and they made muffins for us. This morning with my babies was really good too. G baby, the sad one, had a GREAT morning. I gave her a bath and she was really hesitant at first and wanted me to get in with her, so i stuck my feet in and she finally had a great time and laughed a lot! it kinda made me emotional. K-man had a great morning too. He stayed close to me, but would let me put him down and he would walk for a second and come back but thats great progress. E-man is still trying to learn how to walk.. He is really behind but is learning fast.

Continue to pray for these babies!! There one baby here names Sabrina and she is in the ICU with hydrocephilis. Her head is about 2 times the normal size, and they are trying to clear her to get to the states to have surgery. PLEASE keep her in your prayers. She is going to be a miricale baby. Pray that doctors pass her so they can get her the surgery she needs.

Love yall!!!!! (I get fun of SO much for saying yall, and apparently i have an accent...)

  1. Dear Boo, your updates are better than "Friends"!!! I can't wait to get up each morning and read the updates. Just reading your description of each child I feel as though I know each of them and have and it has been so easy to fall in love with them.
The bathing of Gedleine was so sweet - I think anytime you see improvement is the reason you become emotional because all the love you feel for the babies proves by showing compassion and love to these babies brings good results. It is no different how God feels about us.
The spider story is scary but glad you guys saw before you turned the lights out. LOL
i have always known you were special but what an amazing young woman you are, so filled with the love of the Lord and called to do His work. I know that you are fulfilling what He has called you to do and not many of us will take that leap of faith. There are no words to describe how proud we are of you and thankful to call you our own.
One thing you can do with each of your babies tell them cute stories about your family and what wonderful loving parents you have. When you were a baby and we would go for walks that is all you ever wanted me to do tell stories about Daddy and Jesus.
We love you and so happy you have really found something you love. Pana

  2. Becca!!! I'm so pumped for you and these kids you get to work with day in and day out! When you told me about this trip to Haiti I knew it would be perfect for you. God knows your gifts and your passion for children and know that he is doing work through you each and every day. I've really enjoyed reading up about your adventures and seeing your infectious smile beaming in every picture with these beautiful kids! Keep it up and I can't wait to hear more whenever you get back!
