This is during the babies nap time. They literally sleep on top of each other. There are so many cribs full like this. Its kinda sad but they learn to sleep through anything!

This is in the toddler house (the orphanage for the older kids). We were going to kiss them all goodnight and kinda started a riot. They have so much fun though!

Becca: I can totally see why you could spend all day with this young man. What an expression full of joy, happiness & love. I find this so incredible and heart wrentching that these babies respond and seem to be sincerely happy in this orphanage. Our children in America have to be entertained, showered with presents etc. to make them happy. No fault of theirs this is what we have done to them. These babies all look so happy and so healthy it makes you wonder "How could this be?" You volunteers are answering this question by your example of showing these babies unconditional love all day long. In each photo you all are smiling from ear to ear which all the babies are the benefactors. However, believe me, you will benefit more than you will ever imagine from the love you recieve back from these babies. Even though the babies are so young you guys are making an impact on their lives like none other. Three to four years from now they probably won't remember what you look like, what your name is but they will carry your love and guidance with them for the rest of their lives. The priorities for these babies are so different than ours but from looking at these photos and reading your updates it sure is working.
ReplyDeleteAll the little babies (4) to a small crib is amazing. They must feel a very strong bond of love and closeness. How precious. Another word to describe these babies facial expressions could be OPTIMISM - bedtime is usually a bad time for kids. Most kids dont understand the logic of going to bed while there is energy left in the body or hours left in the day. Sometimes when I would slip in the kids bedroom to give them a final kiss I would always find one of them partially awake and sometimes one would say "I can't wait until I wake up". What a great attitude and passion for living that can't wait until tomorrow. It is a philosophy of life that reads, "Play hard, laugh hard, and leave the worries to your Father." It is definitely a bottomless well of optimism flooded by a perpetual spring of faith. I just want to pick each baby up and give XXXXOOOO's especially the baby in the striped shirt looks like he may be crying and needs some hugs. I find it amazing the one baby is sound asleep and the other three wide awake and all in the same crib. LOL
All you Big angels are so special.
Love you much and miss you, Pana
