  1. Dear Boo, Good morning on this hot Monday morning in Dallas, Texas. LOL Looks like you guys are in a jungle the waterfall is beautiful and the water looks crystal clear. Is the water warm. Your friends are all precious and all five of you look so happy. Funny, I was reading Matthew this morning where Matthew's genealogy of Jesus the Messiah included the names of five women. Almost none of the Old Testament genealogies mention women. Only the father's names are included. Before Christ, Jewish women had no legal status because of the hardness of men's hearts(see Matt 19:8). In spite of the fact that God had included certain merciful clauses in the law of Moses for a woman's protection, the Jew still regarded a woman merely as the possession of her father or husband who could do as he would with her. So the inclusion of any woman's name, let alone five, in any Bible genealogy is and extrardinary phenomenon, especially in that of Messiah. It is even more amazing when we see the kind of women who were chosen out of the vast number possible for such an honor.
    Out of the five chosen, three (Rahab, Tamar and Ruth) were from non Jewish backgrounds. Three of the five had flagrant sin in their lives (Tamar, Rahab and Bathsheba.
    1. TAMAR Gen 38:26 Tamar, a canaanite,daughter in law of Judah whom she betrayed by acting as a prostitute-giving birth to twin boys Perez & Zerah - direct ancestors to Jesus Christ (Matt 1:6);
    2. RAHAB Joshua2: 6:17, 22-25
    Rahab a canaanite prostitute - Mother of Boaz - she hid the spies God sent and spared her her family -direct ancestor to David & Jesus (Matt 1:5)
    3. RUTH 1: 4:13-22
    Ruth, a moabite, woman of noble charater. Ruth married Boaz had son Obed, Obed father of Jesse and Jesse fahter of David - Ruth was great grandmother of David direct ancestor of David and Jesus;
    4. BATHSHEBA - 2 Samuel 11: 12:15; 18, 24 & Psalms 51
    Bathsheba an Isrealite, married to Uriah, comitted adultry with David-Mother of Solomon one of Israel's worst kings direct ancestor of Jesus Christ
    5. MARY Luke 1:26-56
    Mary virgin mother of Jesus always available to God was with Jesus from birth to death. She saw him arrive as her baby son and she watched him die as her Savior.

    This bit of history from scripture will give you five something to study.
    Glad you girls are having so much fun and do a great job.Much love, Pana
