Ok so new rule- we have to nickname all our kids on here, so please just pray for the nicknames the Lord know!!!! Off to lunch! :)

    Dear Boo: I totally understand why the new rule should apply. I was thinking after you sent this blog that you could use names from the Bible for nicknames as I am sure many of the babies make you think of Bible characters.
    I had already compared your happy baby to Job. Job was a patient man and his faithfulness was incredible. "He will fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy" Job 8:21
    I think the sweet baby you took to the store and bought the cookie that shared with all her friends could be nicknamed Elizabeth - The story of Elizabeth is told in Luke 1:5-80. SHe was a deeply spiritual woman -mother of John the Baptist and cousin of Mary mother of Jesus.

    Boy names:
    1.Moses - God referred to Moses "the man of God" whom the Lord knew face to face Deut 34:10
    2. Enoch-he walked with God, he did not die, God took him away Gen 5:21-24
    3. Melchizedek -the first priest -a leader with a heart tuned to God Gen 14:17-20
    4. Abraham-his faith pleased God Gen 11-25
    5. Isaac -a miracle child born to Abraham and Sarah when she was 90 - Isaac means "he laughs" Gen 17:15-35:29
    6. Joseph -son of Jacob & Rachael-man of great integrity Gen 30:50

    Girls:
    1. Sarah -was intensely loyal to God Gen 11-25
    2.Rebekah-wife of Isaac-mother of twins Jacob and Esau - She always stood out in a group-when she saw a need she took action Gen 24-49
    3.Rachael - married to Jacob -she showed grat loyalty to her family Gen 29-35:20
    4. Ester-she was more concerned for others than for herself. Book of Ester
    5. Ruth & Naomi - each person tried to do what was best for each other Book of Ruth
    6. Mary - Mother of Jesus- only human that knew Jesus from birth to death. Mary said "I am the Lord's servant". Mary's story told throughout the gospel.

    You could go on and on many many great Bible names.
