Camping out last night was sooo much fun! considering there is barley electricity in haiti, the stars here are AMAZING. we saw like 20 shooting stars. it was awesome! Definitely a good idea, except i woke up at 4am and my toes were so cold i thought they were going to fall off.. little did we know it cools down about 25 degrees at night.

Today was great, and my kids are doing great. I can't believe tomorrow is my last full day. This trip really has been amazing. Alecia leaves tomorrow and that will be very hard to say bye. I love my kids so much and leaving them will be hard too but I know they will get new volunteers soon and I know that my time with them is done. I tried to tell tutu that I was leaving soon, and that I had to go home, but i could not even finish saying it!

I got peed on today and it did not even phase me.. the first day i got peed on and i cleaned my shirt for like 10 minutes.. It made me laugh so hard. Things have changed since I have been here!

Anyways, Keep praying for these kids. R-baby, Leine, M-son, E-man, Ken, M-man, Tutu, and JJ have touched in more ways than i could have ever touched theirs. The Lord put each one of them in my life for a reason and I am so thankful for that.

I will let yall know how my last day goes tomorrow.

Love yall!

Becca

  1. Dear Boo: You are so special. Maybe sometimes it is best not to say goodbye. I still think if you leave the memory of this huge smile they have put on your face during your stay in Haiti would be something they could remember and cherish forever. You have brought each of us so close to Leine, M-son, E-man, Ken, M-man, R-baby,Tutu, and JJ as we followed your daily updates on your blog. I feel so close to the babies that as I read today's comment it brings tears to my eyes as I feel like I will be saying goodbye also. The fact you have brought so much joy in these babies lives shows your great accomplishment and reaching another goal. If you go back to the first day you started with the babies until today it is unbelievalbe how happy and joyful they all look. I know one thing, when you marry and have children they are going to have one great Mom. Tutu looks so cute in her blue dress and that smile just warms your heart.
Make tomorrow a very special day for you and R-baby, Leine, M-son, E-man, Ken, M-man, Tutu, and JJ one they will always remember.
I love you Boo and I am so proud of you.
The boys are still here. We have had a great time. They arrived around nine last night. I had pizzas, coke, drpepper, chocolate chip cookies for them. They ate everything.
Then this morning I took them to the Hideaway Cafe. They loved it. They have been at the beach all day. Should be home shortly for dinner. I am fixing them shrimp, corn, beans, tomatoes, bread and dessert. They leave tonight to pick up a friend in Los Angeles then they are driving to San Francisco then to Portland, Oregon. They do not start work in Scaramento until next Sunday.
    I love you, Pana
